SIG Sauer Secures NGSW Contract

The U.S. Army has selected SIG Sauer's offerings in its Next Generation Squad Weapon program, and has awarded a 10 year contract to the firm to produce the new XM5 Rifle and XM250 Automatic Rifle to phase out the M4 carbine and M249 light machine gun families.
