When Hurricane Florence made landfall it stripped some areas of all traditional means of communications, leaving residents without any means of requesting help.

The record rain and flooding in South Carolina didn’t arrive as the direct result of a hurricane or tropical storm. Although somewhat predicted, its unexpected magnitude continues to claim lives and imperil first responders willing to put their lives on the line, “That Others May Live.”
