ArmaLite AR-18: The Forgotten AR
Developed off the 7.62 NATO AR-16, the ArmaLite AR-18 was an inventive 5.56 NATO assault rifle much like the firm's famous AR-15, and though over shadowed, its short-stroke gas piston system has inspired many current generation designs.
