In one of the largest business expansions in recent firearm industry history, Advanced Munitions International (AMI) has announced it will invest nearly $554 million to build a global headquarters and state-of-the-art munitions manufacturing, distribution, and research and development facility in Alcoa, Tenn.
While Beretta previously announced that it would expand its future manufacturing operations at a new Gallatin, Tenn., facility due to Maryland’s political climate—in particular oppressive gun laws—hings heated up with the announcement that ALL the company’s U.S. manufacturing will now move to the far-more-firearms-friendly (and business friendly) State of Tennessee.

Next week a pair of bills in both houses of the Tennessee Legislature will come to a vote and, if passed and signed into law by the governor, it will alleviate the state’s confusing patchwork of laws governing carry in parks and recreation areas. I wish other states would consider the same measure.
