Springfield Armorys New Gear Up

Purchase a new Springfield Armory handgun included in the company’s Gear Up Promotion and qualify to receive three additional magazines and a Springfield Armory dual pistol bag with the firm’s crossed-cannon logo. The special deal, which has a retail value of $150, launched Sept. 15 and continues until Dec. 31, 2023.

The incentive provides shooters with another value-added benefit to the famed company’s popular lines of pistols. All customers who purchase a select pistol during the promotion period qualify. The program includes some of the firm’s most popular models—Hellcat and Hellcat Pro variants, XD and XD-M Elite models, and XD-S Mod.2 offerings. Eligible buyers must simply show proof of purchase and fill out the redemption form online (found here) by Jan. 31, 2024, to redeem their Gear Up package.

“Springfield Armory’s pistols are renowned for both their ruggedness and their reliability,” said Phil Rawlings, vice president of sales and law enforcement for Springfield Armory. “With this new Gear Up promotion, customers will receive a great selection of valuable accessories at no extra cost.”

Despite its relatively recent release, the Hellcat line, in 9 mm Luger, has already established an enviable reputation for performance and reliability. The latter was established the year it was introduced, 2019, when one survived 20,000-round torture testing with minimal cleaning, no parts breaking or firearm-related problems. Early reviews, like this one for American Rifleman, piled onto the fast popularity by stating the Hellcat is, “ … bred to fight. It’s equipped with the latest technology, and its design meets my needs as an armed citizen. It’s small and light enough to carry and keep on me—always—and it’s potent enough to save my life if necessary.”

The Springfield XD (eXtreme Duty) line officially arrived in 2002 and, like those that followed, was a huge success. It won the American Rifleman 2003 Pistol of the Year Golden Bullseye Award. Its performance and durability chromosomes are obvious in the XD-M Elite and XD-S Mod.2 offerings.
