To kick off the upcoming 100th anniversary of its semi-automatic pistols and the 30th anniversary of the M9, Beretta has announced it will release a limited run of selected 90 Series of pistols that will be manufactured with special features that have been requested by consumers.

The 92G will feature a decock-only action while retaining two safeties, including the firing pin block and the rotating striker mechanism. The "G" model is favored by many 90-series enthusiasts because it starts in a simple double-action mode right from the draw, making the gun simpler and easier to use without having to disengage the thumb safety. The 92FS Brigadier features a heavy slide profile that reduces felt recoil, and a removable front sight for easy aftermarket replacement and customization.

"We are thrilled to let Beretta 90 Series fans know that we have been listening to their feedback," said John Tamborino, Tactical Product Manager for Beretta USA. "The 90 Series is the flagship of Beretta pistols and is well known throughout the world as one of the most accurate, reliable and proven pistols on the market. He added that the classic, limited-run models will lay the groundwork for additional 90-series models to be developed in the near future.
