Remember, the muzzle velocity of a .308 is about 2680 fps for a 168 grain TSX. A 180 Grain is slower yet. At 200 yards from a .308, the 180 grain will not expand fully. A 150 grain on the other hand, WILL do a nice job of expanding out to 300 yards and "acts" heavier than it is, punching completely through the biggest Bull Elk, leaving a good blood trail to track. ;)

I currently am using .308 TSX and TTSX in my re-loads. Remember, these will not open at speeds lower than 1900 fps, so they are NOT good for long range. They will "pencil" through with little to no expansion and you will be tracking for a long time. Great for up to about 300 yards, they open and do the job well.
