Great looking gun. How is it able to fire .45ACP? Was some modification done to the cylinder to allow it to fire moon/half moon clips?

Well, as for the gun transformation, I really liked the end result. Being a longtime and loyal Ruger Arms owner, I always saw the Super Redhawk as an ugly gun. To me this great project just made an ugly gun not so ugly; but still ugly. Still looks like an Alaskan with a piece of pipe stuck in the barrel.

Would love to have that done to mine but doubt if I could afford it.

yes, Jim Greene, you for sure have got that right about Hamilton Bowen. Ruger afficianados are deservedly many, for Ruger makes a fine gun--so happy to see this article that shows some of the fun we have. ( in point of fact i am an ignorant newbie but appreciative ) but my Ruger Bisley birdshead .32 was the loveliest gun i ever saw, let alone owned... and from the Ruger forums as well as articles like this i know i am not alone in my zeal for this company's products

Who did the work on the Super Redhawk? How much did it cost? Will they do similar work on a Redhawk 44mag?

Hamilton Bowen and his shop have customized more Rugers probably than anybody. He deserves a mention if not more coverage. He is Mr. Ruger.
