GOTW: Walther PPK/S .22

Famous for being the first double-action pistol and being 007's firearm of choice (though admittedly more so for the latter), the Walther PPK remains one of the most famous handguns in industry history. Now, though, the popular PP line has expanded to one of the most affordable calibers on the market: .22 LR.

I own a S&W PPK/S in .380 ACP, and have found it highly enjoyable and deadly accurate. I purchashed the Ulm PPK/S in .22LR, and could not be again more pleased with its performance. Though advertised as a plinker, it is easy to put a 1.5' 10 shot grouping at 20 ft. with decent ammo. Both pistols also cycle through with most bulk rounds. I have had a few FTE and FTFs with the .22, and it is not as undescriminating as the eats-anything Ruger line, but I am very pleased thus far. Good job, Walther.

i had a ppk and was disappointed in the accuracy, when guns are made with fixed sights they should be fairly on target
