The Leupold VX-R Zombie Riflescope

The Leupold VX-R Zombie Riflescope

1/17/2012

The Leupold VX-R Zombie RiflescopeThe firearm industry hasn't been subtle about trying to get its customers to prepare for a zombie-apocalypse, and it's hard not to wonder if someone has some inside information we're not privy to. That said, a neat find from the opening day of SHOT Show is Leupold's VX-R Zombie Riflescope.

A play on the company's 1.25-4x20mm Patrol line, the VX-R Zombie Riflescope delivers all of Leupold's best perks—from its ability to make precision finger click adjustments and second generation Argon/Krypton waterproofing right on down to the standard Leupol Lifetime Guarantee.

The scope embraces its name by incorporating some fancy design work on its caps—a zombie head on one, and brains on other... because what's a zombie analogy without brains?

This is an awesome scope! I saw it today and looked through it. I want it for my AR :) Oh and those are the lens covers for it. It is meant to be fun and if the gun banners don't like it, they definitely won't like the rest of the Zombie Slayer gear!

Jay, I think it looks like a zombie which would be a potential attacker. I dont think anyone would argue for zombie rights when it comes to the zombie apocalypse. Sorzy: that's not the reticle, thats the lens cap...

And if that's the reticle, it seems to me, and it stands to reason, it's going to interfere with the shooters sight picture? I'll pass. The let's get in on the zombie market craze to make a buck while we can is getting old. To and for me anyhow. And I'd have to agree with Jay. Crosshairs on a head will only be used for and by the anti-gun groups. I mean, didn't Sarah Palin get slammed for using the target word or a target or because she said target something or something like that a year or two back? And didn't they try and demonize her for it because something happened? In fact, wasn't it Sarah Palin and what she'd said or because she had a target or something and they tried to say what she said or did and rhetoric like that is what got Gabriel Gifford shot? Come on. Just make quality made in the U.S.A product at a decent price and that will last and it will not only sell itself but the best advertisement there is, word of mouth, will also sell it for you.

Cross hairs zeroing in on what appears to be a human head. Looks like more ammo for the gun banners to me.
