One of the more eye-catching and unusual pistols shown at SHOT Show this year is the new Heizer Double Tap. Using advanced design techniques and CNC machining, Heizer has developed a thin profile, monolithic frame over-under derringer chambered for modern defensive calibers. The Double Tap will be available with either an aircraft-grade aluminum or titanium frame. Barrels will be available in .45 ACP or 9 mm, with or without porting, and a compartment in the grip holds two extra rounds. Complete pistols have an MSRP from $499 to $799 depending on the options selected, while interchangeable barrels will range from $249 to $319.
