Be Prepared: The 2012 Executive Survivors Kit

Lan World's 2012 Executive Survivors Kit

The 2012 Mayan Apocalypse is less than a year away, and it may be time to start preparing... if you believe in those sorts of things.

Even if you don't, the new 2012 Executive Survivors Kit from LAN World, Inc. can make for a great emergency kit, and it was certainly one of the most interesting little finds at SHOT Show 2012. LAN World partnered with Stag Arms to produce a versatile, fun and downright useful "emergency kit" that's perfect for Apocaylpse-mongers and the simply vigilant souls alike.

Each kit includes:

- Stag Arms Model 2 AR-15 Rifle
- EoTech 517 Holographic Red Dot Optic
- 60 Rounds of Quality Ammunition
- Stag Arms Field Repair Kit
- Two 30/10 Round Magazines
- First Aid Kit
- MRE Field Ration Meal
- Gerber MP 600 Multi-Plier
- Gerber Omnivore LED Flashlight
- Otis AR-15 Cleaning Kit
- Silent Sling
- 4 AA back up batteries
- Quality hard sided rifle Case

im good to go with my BM AR 15 Carbon, fitted with a 700 Lumen Tac Light, my Tac vest loaded with 300 rds, my 9mm and 3 mags, boot knife, and another box of ammo but hey, I only have an eye for essentials

Nice kit, now please add more ammo and mags, and some type of mag pouches. To stop the muntant ninja zombies that will bring the end of the world in 2012.

End of the world! Last man standing seems to be the consensus here. What's after?

Hank wrote:

Personally, I would ditch the boxes of ammo (who's going to have time to load mags), and put in 6 loaded mags. Ditch the MRE. If you are in a situation that requires an M4 eating will be the last thing on your mind. Use the MRE space for a handgun (nothing like 1911) with an ambidexterous holster. The sling should already be installed on the rifle, because again, who's going to have time to put it on? But hey, if your just looking for a really expensive box of tricks to show of to your buddies then this setup will do just fine.

To all of you that say, "needs more ammo"... I say, how many rounds will an executive be able to shoot before they are a casualty?

Price point is ok considering the rifle, optics and case. Limited ammo and one MRE will not get you through an apocalypse, but is a quality kit for sure. Have another bag with more ammo and food, good to go.

steve wrote:
January 22, 2012

make it an AK with 1000 round for 1/3 the price, and i'll take 2!

Chris wrote:
January 21, 2012

You need more ammo and more mags. 30 rounds and 2 mags is not going to get you far.

Joseph wrote:
January 21, 2012

1 MRE? I suppose that makes sense with only 60rds of ammo.

MasterSergeantUSAF wrote:

Awesome kit... Nice choice for all parts... Is the price still the same $2012 that was listed before the shotshow?

Sean wrote:
January 21, 2012

Haha one mre? That's will only be enough for 2 days, and you have to be hard core for it to last that long

Jesse wrote:

Jack Becker wrote:

Surely overpriced, corporations always take unfair advantage of people's fears. If it comes to that, someone will provide a gun.

chris wrote:
January 21, 2012

In case of an apocalypse 60 rounds wont get you out of your driveway. Should have atleast a standard battle loadout of 210 rnds. I dont think 4 spare AA batteries will last long either.

Neil wrote:
January 21, 2012

It is a good starting point, but one meal and 60 rounds of ammo would not last too long when TSHTF.

Gabriel wrote:
January 21, 2012

Does it come with choice of MRE, or is the Chicken and Dumplings a standard option?

john randall wrote:

Let us know the price and more ammo plus mags would be a plus maybe even a side seem with a drop holster would be very nice.

G wrote:
January 21, 2012

This kit is weak for real. U can find ten times better kits online. Don't bother. This kit would be crazy crazy expensive and be missing a lot of important stuff.

Chris wrote:

1MRE? Cool concept, but seems more like an over priced novelty to me

Pappy wrote:

Screw that AR-15 nahh I'm good I'll jus get my M16A4 with red dot an shoot ammo is a no prob thing but Mayan calendar is garbage nothin will happen

Mike wrote:
January 21, 2012

For all those saying its not enough ammo, you could take all the foam and items out and fill that case w/ ammo and it still wouldn't be enough ammo for an EOTW type situation.

James odom wrote:
January 21, 2012

That's idiotic, one MRE, no wire for a snare, no fishhooks, only 60 rounds. Has nothing to do with survival and everything to do with adding on high priced unnecessary accessories.

cory wrote:
January 21, 2012

the price seems to be 2012 dollars any shipping or tax on this

Robert wrote:

If you want the price, it is on Stag Arms web site.

James wrote:
January 21, 2012

Dan wrote:
January 21, 2012

Nice kit. I picked up a stag AR15 a few years ago, all bells and whistles around 1500. Your gonna need way more ammo and more to eat than a set of MREs to survive the apocalypse. Nice lil set, but a home made b.o.b. will suit you better. Preparing for your individual family first is the only way to go.

David wrote:
January 21, 2012

Its the end of the world people price is of no importance! That 1 MRE could be the difference between life and death.

SSG Eddie Wise wrote:
January 21, 2012

That's alot of money for a modified M-4 (AR-15) and only 60 rounds of ammo. I got 20 cases of MRE's, 4 M-4's, 6 handguns, and a boatload of ammo..now if this thing doesn't happen...what to do with it all???

Eric wrote:
January 21, 2012

Should include a silencer, not too bad a price then.

Chris wrote:
January 21, 2012

Why would you use any optic that takes a battery to defend yourself during the apocalypse? What happens if the battery dies? Unless this has a flip up rear sight.

Aaron wrote:
January 21, 2012

All sounds good except for the amount of ammo makes it a laughable joke. If your going to advertise as something for the end of the world or survival, need to make the amount of ammo worth it. Who ever put together the kit and what to name it needs to use their head.I mean seriously 60 rounds?

armoredman wrote:
January 21, 2012

That's a nice go-home kit indeed, but not long term survival. Love the concept, add more ammo and magazines plus a chest pouch or magazine/supplies bag.

Boots wrote:
January 21, 2012

bret wrote:
January 20, 2012

price is $2,012 reduced from $2,500 at stag arms web site. decent price for a kit with all the stuff included. but for sure needs a few thousand rounds more to be properly prepared.
