Kimber 8400 Patrol

Kimber has a well-earned reputation for making bolt-action hunting rifles that are impressive in both looks and performance. Several years ago the company decided to enter the tactical rifle market.

The latest AmericanRifleman.org Gun of the Week, the Model 8400 Patrol, is one example of Kimber’s efforts in this area. While the Patrol doesn't sport a classic walnut stock, the rifle still demonstrates plenty of Kimber quality.

You can learn more about the 8400 Patrol in the video below, hosting by Shooting Illustrated's Editor-in-Chief, Adam Heggenstaller.

looks like kimber did good. The hinged floor plate is a feature I like for all the known reasons. A laminate stock should be impervious to the elements and stand up to any abuse law enforcement or a rancher could dish out. A great trigger is a must

This would be one hella sweet tac rifle if they'd modify the floorplate and make it accept AR-10 mags. I think they dropped the ball there.
