In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Model 1911, Colt has announced a new, limited-edition, period-accurate M1911 pistol. Based on the Model 01918 configuration and finish, the "new" pistol features custom rollmarks on the receiver and slide to commemorate the pistol's longevity, as well as special edition 100th anniversary packaging and a unique serial numbering system that ends in "1911." The MSRP on the period-accurate pieces is $1150.
