Defensive Pizza Delivery

Three would-be robbers in Detroit recently had the tables turned on them by a pizza delivery guy who was prepared to fend off their attack.

The news report doesn’t name the non-victim who used a handgun to protect his life while performing his job on the east side of Motor City, which is probably a good thing. This was a planned attack where three assailants ordered a pizza delivered to a vacant house. I have no idea if the driver noticed that something was wrong and prepared himself, or if he was just constantly vigilant of his surroundings, but either way he came out on top.

What I liked most was that the manager of Papa’s Pizza told WXYZ Action News that not only did he have a permit to carry a concealed handgun, but that many of his drivers did as well. It’s nice to see a company that allows its employees to express their Second Amendment rights and defend their lives in a potentially dangerous job. If I lived in Detroit, this would be my pizza parlor.

In 1995 I was on my way home to Utah from Las Vegas. I had just received my CCL from the State of Utah. Traveling through southern Utah, I stopped at an almost deserted rest area for a break. There was one car there that was getting ready to pull out when I pulled in. They pulled back in while I got out of my truck. As I started up the sidewalk to the rest room I looked back and they were getting out of their car. I stopped, went back to my truck, retreived my pistol and tucked it in the small of my back, but still visible. They could see I was armed and they got back into their car and left. I feel to this day, I am alive because of my actions that day. I bought a Life Membership to the NRA the day that the 1st President Bush resigned his membership and haven't regretted it. Continue to do the good work. Harvey, Endowment Member from WV.

I have been there too! I was attacked by a guy in Winston Salem while on my job with the Phone Company. They don't allow the employees to carry concealed or open. I carried for 5 years before I retired. Saved my Life. The thug didn't get but 9 months in Central Prison in Raleigh. I carry now on my person each and every day. I had rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6 any day. My friend with the WSPD told me that years ago. Join the NRA and back them when they call. THey are your best friend when it comes to gun rights. With the economy the way it today, caused by the present Administration, the have nots will target you if they think they can catch you away from home even for a short while. You are not safe anywhere!

My hat is off to the pizza man. He and his family I am sure are very grateful for the right to defend themselves and so should the would be robbers/murderers maybe this will steer them in the right direction before its too late.
