Following its introduction during SHOT Show 2011, Kahr Arms displayed the newest in its series of pistols, the CM9. Sporting Kahr's 7 patented features, the CM9 is a 9 mm-chambered DAO pistol designed for concealed carry. The CM9 has a 3-inch barrel, is less than an inch wide and weighs 14 ozs. unloaded, attributable to its polymer frame and extremely small profile. The magazine capacity is 6 rounds. Though not mentioned in the video below, Kahr also showed the requisite enthusiasm for the M1911 centennial by introducing a 100th Anniversary 1911 pistol of its own through its Auto-Ordnance brand. The anniversary pistols come with parkerized finishes, and are available in 3 different configurations: a traditional unmarked slide, a specially engraved edition and a traditional version with wood grips. The MSRP for each pistol is under $700. Kahr also had exciting news following their acquisition of Magnum Research, Inc., makers of the famous Baby Desert Eagle pistol, last year. Magnum Research will be prominently featured in the upcoming reality show Gold Rush Alaska on the Discovery Channel. The show follows 6 unemployed men from Oregon who, following the economic collapse of the last few years, risk everything to move to Alaska and begin searching for gold. The series has completed its first season, and was recently renewed for a second. For more information on Kahr products, please visit the Kahr Arms website.
