The Kimber Mountain Ascent


"Lightweight" was a common theme at SHOT Show 2012 (particularly among rifles), and it'd be hard to find a company that did a better job at embracing it than Kimber.


Kimber showed off the new lightweight Mountain Ascent Rifle (pictured above, in the center), which delivers plenty of quality firepower—all at a weight of 4 pounds 13 ounces.


The Mountain Ascent features a Kevlar-enforced carbon fiber stock, barreled action finish in Shad Gray KimPro II, a fluted barrel and bolt and a muzzle brake with a cap that helps reduce recoil.


It's offered in .308 Win., .270 Win., .280 Ack. Imp. and 30-06 Spfd. More details can be found in the video below.

its light its exspensive but the big Q will it shoot a 1/2 INCH AT A 100 YARDS
