Ruger Introduces SR45 Center-Fire Pistol

Ruger introduces the new-for-2013 SR45 Center-Fire Pistol. This gun has a .45 caliber 10-round magazine capacity. It comes in either a black over alloy steel or stainless steel slide. The SR45 also features an ambidextrous manual safety and mag catch, along with 3-dot sights that are adjustable for windage and elevation. The gun comes with a loaded chamber indicator, an interchangeable backstrap and a picatinny rail. The grip frame is black, high performance and made with glass-filled nylon. The SR45 has a barrel length of 4 1/2 inches, 8 inch length, and 5 3/4 inch height. The MSRP is $529.

I purchased an SR45 sight unseen 3 months ago and expect to wait maybe another 5 before mine arrives. From all reports, I've made a very good choice based on my reasons to replace my old 1911A1c with a more ergonomically responsive design.
