SureFire Wins USSOCOM Contract

The tactical lighting manufacturer has been awarded a contract for the Hellfighter WeaponLight and the VBL-III by U.S. Special Operations Command.

SureFire, manufacturer of high-end illumination tools, has been awarded two contracts for tactical products by U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), totaling over $30 million.

The first contract is for the Hellfire WeaponLight, a crew optical augmentation device used with the M2HB, the M134 and the M240 weapon systems. The second is for the Visible Bright Light-III (VBL-III), a light used on small arms, fulfilled by the SureFire M620V Scout Light and M720V RAID light. Both Units are capable of emitting high-output white light and infrared illumination from the same unit.
