4/11/2011 Steiner Optics has announced its newest binocular, the Steiner Predator Xtreme, designed to use a high-contrast lens coating to increase visibility and light transmission. The proprietary coating, called Dynamic Coating Technology, filters a small amount of light in the middle of the visibility spectrum, allowing the eye to perceive more colors. The Predator Xtreme also has a waterproof polycarbonate chassis with ergonomic curves and is argon and nitrogen purged to be leakage-free. The Predator Xtreme lineup has four models: 8x22, 8x42, 10x26 and 10x42, and MSRP ranges from $179 to $499.
