Remington Expands Ammunition Operations

Remington is expanding its ammunition operations to increase product availability and improve on-time delivery.

5/10/2013

Remington has announced plans to expand operations at its ammunition plan in Lonoke, Ark. The $32 million expansion plan is projected to be in operation by the second quarter of 2014.

“We are proud to provide job growth within communities that have supported us for so many years, while meeting the increasing global demand for superior ammunition products,” said Jim Grahlmann, Lonoke plant manager. “This expansion reinforces our commitment to deliver the finest quality products for our customers.”

The expansion, which will include the construction of a new building, is expected to begin during the second quarter of 2013.

“We continue to invest in all of our manufacturing operations because we are committed to ensuring quality, increasing product availability and improving on-time delivery,” said Kevin Miniard, chief operating officer of Remington. “This significant investment in Lonoke is a testament to that commitment. Our customers can count on Remington to invest in its manufacturing operations in order to ensure that its facilities are state-of-the art and its employees are the best in the industry.”

Things may be easing as we speak. Just this week I saw online adds for PMC, Remington, and some other brands that had the lowest prices I have seen since the New Year. I bet both price and availablity will continue to impove.

The real hog now is not Obama and his storm troopers . Its the horders, and the greedy capitalists that buy up all the ammo and sell it for $1.00 a round or more. Waiting in line at Academy,or Walmart just to get a practice box is no longer possible."Sportsmen" now bring their whole family , Aunts,Uncles and homeless people to stand in line at midnight to get all the ammo and resell it for 3 times more than they paid for it in the same parking lot!The average man doesn't have a chance. I say don't buy ammo or guns for about 4 months and see if the industry responds to the true law biding citizen. You have to be a banker to buy a few rounds of ammo now days.. oh yea we bailed them out a while back!So whos the bad guy now!

Great. Has Remington stopped manufacturing in New York and selling to federal and state agencies against the 2nd amendment?

well that's just great you want to expand, but what about primers, powder and bullets now, we have to wait until 2014

About time that Remington stepped up and added more ammo production. ALL BECAUSE the Obaminator wanted his storm troopers to hog all the ammo so we peons couldn't buy any.

Alas, if only I could find a reliable source of affordable primers. How about it Remington? There has to be less capital investment in primer production than in ammunition lines. You will need additional primers for the new ammunition lines. Why not expedite the primer manufacturing so the reloaders can have a brief respite?

Thank you Remington. Here's hoping most of the new production doesn't go to the gov't!

Thank you Remington. Now maybe the others will pitch to support the ones who supported them all these years.

It's about time someone stepped up and caught up ammo needs with the gun buying craze! Thank you.
