Kim Rhode won big at the International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) World Championship in Munich, Germany, taking home the Skeet Women's Gold Medal and securing a spot on the 2012 USA Olympic team. Rhode scored a 97/100, breaking a perfect 25/25 targets in the tense final round. The perfect score in the last round gave her a 1-target margin of victory.

The World Championship medal comes a month after Rhode won the U.S. Nationals in International Skeet, and ranks her number No. 1 in the world. Rhode's standing and securing of the Olympic spot give her a chance to win an unprecedented five consecutive medals across five Olympic games, something no U.S. competitor has done in an individual sport.

Great accomplishment. I just wish the mainstream media in the USA would acknowlege and report this achievement. Good luck to Kim for 2012 Olympics!

This is good news. She deserves to be known as a Champion, the best of the best. I'm proud for her and of her. I'm graefull she is representing us (her fellow shooters) in the shooting sports.
