Crimson Trace has expanded its Lightguard series with the introduction of a version for one of the most popular handguns in America—the 1911.
The new 1911 Lightguard is a 135-lumen weapon light that attaches to the frame of the 1911 without the need of a gunsmith. It is no wider than most 1911s and is shorter than the dust cover, resulting in a form that is easy to holster, conceal and carry.
The new Lightguard can be used as a standalone unit, or in conjunction with Lasergrips, providing light and laser in a small package. The 1911 Lightguard uses one CR2 battery, has a two-hour run time and it features a master on/off switch.
The new unit will be available in May for $199, and will be shown at NRA Annual Meetings and Exhibits in St. Louis, Mo.
