11/2/2010 Improving on its original Backtrack and Backtrack Point-3, Bushnell released its new Backtrack Point-5 GPS that can mark up to five locations, read time, temperature and altitude, and display a digital compass with latitude and longitude coordinates on its grayscale LCD screen. A large arrow directs the user to the marked locations, providing the distance in yards or meters. The handheld Backtrack measures 3.5x 2.3x 0.88 inches, is water-resistant, takes two AAA batteries, and the LCD screen is backlit for night viewing. It comes with a carabineer clip and is accurate to within about 3 to 5 yards. Contact: Bushnell Corp.; (800) 423-3537; www.bushnell.com.
