9/14/2010 CVA has released a new instructional video called “Muzzleloading Basics” that features TV personalities O’Neill Williams and Chad Schearer and covers information shooters need to know regarding the safe and effective use of modern muzzleloading rifles. The video will be made available at no charge to Hunter Education Instructors. It will also be available to consumers as DVDs sold by CVA retailers and for free at www.cva.com. The topics covered include: Types of Muzzleloaders, Propellants, Projectiles, Ignition Systems, Accessories, Safety Precautions, Loading, Shooting and Cleaning. “Our goal in producing ‘Muzzleloading Basics’ was to create a source for general information that would make it easier for novices to learn all of the important elements of the effective and safe use of modern muzzleloading guns,” stated Dudley McGarity, CEO of Blackpowder Products, Inc., owner of the CVA brand. “Muzzleloading with today’s more modern rifles is incredibly easy and trouble-free. We need to do all we can to educate hunters to this reality, as some of the best hunting opportunities are found during the [muzzleloader] seasons,” McGarity concluded.
