NRA Outdoors Announces 3-Gun Training Dates

The National Rifle Association has announced the 2016 dates for its NRA Outdoors 3-Gun Introduction Schools, sponsored by ArmaLite, Benelli, SIG Sauer and Vortex. The two-day courses introduce and immerse the student into the exciting world of this shooting discipline.

Enrollees should already possess a basic operational understanding of the AR-15, semi-automatic handguns and shotgun, as well as safety procedures. Classes will take place at Peacemaker National Training Center in Gerrardstown, W.V. The fast-paced courses, which include firing drills, take place in April, May, June and October. All equipment, ammunition and two lunches are included in the registration fee.

“Preppers” might be more interested in the NRA Outdoors two-day, two-night survival skills courses. Held at the same facility, students will learn will learn wilderness skills, emergency casualty care, water procurement and purification, fire and shelter building, use of a firearm for self-defense, and more. Instructors assembled include wilderness-plant experts, top firearm instructors and hand-selected U.S. military special operations personnel during the events. Courses take place in April, May, September and October and registration is also open.
