Crimson Trace Green Lasers

Green lasers have staked out a respectable position in the market over the last few years, enough so that even Crimson Trace—which, not surprisingly, has traditionally been a red laser company—took notice. Crimson Trace produced its first green lasers sometime ago, but took things to another level at SHOT Show 2013 by releasing green versions of the company's well-known lasergrips. And So It Begins

So jet-lagged and sleep-deprived is how I began my 20th SHOT Show in row. There are no prizes or ribbons for such things. A late departure (thanks to perhaps the most uncivil woman I have ever observed being ejected from my plane to Las Vegas) and the time change eating at me resulted in an even, seemingly, earlier start to Media Day At The Range, which was the best I have experienced in years.

IWI Tavor SAR Bullpup Rifle

Bullpup rifles deliver high-quality accuracy in a more compact package—and at 2013's Media Day at the Range IWI showed off a bullpup that's easily one of the most high-profile firearms at SHOT Show in its Tavor. The Tavor was originally developed in close cooperation with the Israel Defense Force (IDF), and is in service with the IDF as well as in the force of other countries around the world. It will be making its first appearance in American markets in late February or early March 2013.

Chiappa Triple Threat Shotgun

So, how do you go about making a double-barreled shotgun more enticing? You add another barrel. That's Chiappa's strategy, at least, with the new Triple Threat Shotgun. The triple-barreled design is based on a traditional two-barrel shotgun design—with the third barrel resting on the top, giving the gun a pyramidal arrangement. The Triple Threat is designed to be a defense gun, and comes with a shorter stock that can be converted to a pistol grip.
