A self-defense tool made of reinforced durable polymer composite that is discreetly located in the brim of the baseball hat can be used to defend oneself with only a moments notice. Someone looking for a tougher knife for everyday carry should check out the new Eagle Heavy Duty knife by Al Mar Knives. The blade is made in laminated SDP-189 steel, and comes in Earth/brown scales. North American Arms introduces its' .22 Mag. Mini-Revolver and Holster Grip Accessory. This is ideal option for concealed carry, especially for women. They may be small, but they pack a big punch. These holster grips fold knife-like against the bottom of the gun, and fold out to a full-sized grip, giving the user a better grip on the gun considering how small it is, and reducing felt-recoil. Magpul is known for its creative design solutions, and the company rolled out some of its most innovative products yet at SHOT Show 2013. First comes the MOE Fixed Carbine Stock, which provides a fixed, non-collapsing stock option for carbine-length buffer tubes. It has a slim profile, improved cheek weld and multiple sling attachment options. The company also showed off the MOE-K2 Grip, which is a drop-in upgrade for AR-15/M4 pistol grips. It was a more vertical grip angle, which is optimized for short length-of-pull firearms.

Leupold unveils the latest addition to its VX6 line. The VX6 is now offered in 3-18x44 mm and 3-18x50 mm. One of the scopes is illuminated, the other is not, and all of the scopes come with a side-focus dial. The VX6's also include extended twilight lens coatings and scratch resistant lenses. Every scope comes with free CDS through the custom shop. Taking all of the ballistic data, one simply calls the shop and they will run you a dial in 50 yard increments out to about 800 yards.

Winchester rolled out a couple additions to its SXP line at SHOT Show 2013, and the new Marine Defender was among them. Though it was conceived with harsh maritime environments in mind, the Marine Defender should appeal to anyone that's looking for a self-defense shotgun for their home. The gun includes a removable TRUGLO fiber-optic sight, a hard-chromed chamber and a matte-chromed barrel and magazine tube. The barrel is threaded to accept the Invector-Plus choke tube system and arrives with a cylinder bore choke installed.
