MKS Supply showed off some of the latest releases from Chiappa Firearms and Hi-Point Carbines at the 142nd NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits. In Chiappa's case, it was the M9-22 and the latest additions to the Rhino line (which, as you can see above, now comes in an exceptionally flashy gold model). For Hi-Point, it was the 9 mm carbine.

Kubota Tractor Corporation out of Torrence, Calif., is at the NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits for the first time and showing off its new RTV 1100 Series. This RTV comes with a cam option and is a great vehicle for hunters or farmers. The 1100 Series is quiet running, has a diesel engine but comes with the option of a gas version. In the world of utility vehicles this is a pretty swanky option that provides the utmost comfort for the driver and even has the option of air conditioning. The KSG (Kel-Tec Shotgun) was Kel-Tec's first market introduction. There are many similarities between the KSG and the Forward-ejecting Bullpup (RFB) rifle, but the KSG ejects downward. This firearm weighs 6.9 lbs. and is extremely compact at length 26.1 inches and an 18.5-inch cylinder bore barrel. The magazines hold 12 rounds of 12-gauge 3-inch rounds. The KSG is a pump-action shotgun that feeds from both the left and right tube. Other features include a picatinny rail, forward and rear sling loops and a basic sling. The KSG also comes with a soft rubber butt pad to help reduce recoil. The KSG has an MSRP of $1,197.

Cold Steel showed NRA E-Media its latest prototype: the Code-4 Clip Point Knife. Designed to be easy to carry, the Code-4 line has a very low profile with a blade length of 3 1/2 inches, 3.5 mm thickness and overall length of 8 1/2 inches. The blades are made with Japanese Aus 8A stainless steel and come with an ambidextrous stainless pocket/belt clip. ATI (Advanced Technology International) introduces the new Benelli M4 Raven Stock and Forend Package. The stock features an adjustable tension mechanism to increase or decrease the drag of the buttstock along the buffer tube. The receiver mount comes with an optional pivoting sling loop and is precision CNC machined. It installs on the left or right side of the receiver and pivots to sit flush to the receiver when not in use. The Raven Stock and Forend Package also includes a Scorpion Recoil Grip, Scorpion Razorback Recoil Pad, a soft polymer cheekiest, a polymer over-molded forend, magazine tube and a magazine follower. Even though I started as a skeptic, I became a fan of lasers after trying them a few years ago. Since then I’ve attached lasers from various manufacturers to five handguns and one rifle, and can’t believe that I ever doubted their need.
