Equipment is essential to hunting and shooting. I choose gear using a variety of factors: purpose, quality, name recognition, prior experience and cost. Unfortunately, cost is a very important factor. Like most, I scrimp and save to purchase the best that I can afford because quality equipment can make all the difference. But often times, what I want and what I purchase are not the same. While there are many affordable, quality firearm and optic brands, there are a few that are spoken of in reverent tones at hunt camps, gun shows and other places hunters and shooters gather. These are the brands that many of us hear and read about, and really want, but can seldom afford. Whether these high-end products are truly better doesn't really matter. The perception is that they are better, so they are better. Many of us want them, and if we had unlimited discretionary funds, we would probably purchase one or more for our collections. I'm in the same financial category as most middle-class people, but if I ever hit the lottery, get in early on a start-up company or discover a long-lost wealthy relative, there are few items that I've seen, read and desired that will become mine. I guess you could call it my ultimate wish list. Take a look and tell us about yours. The Wish List Photo Gallery
