Sporting goods retailers such as Cabela’s understand that their livelihoods depend on the efforts of NRA members to safeguard the rights of hunters and gun owners. This month Cabela’s will highlight its appreciation for NRA members by offering them exclusive deals. From Friday, Feb. 5, through Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010, stop by any of the 30 nationwide Cabela’s retail locations and receive a 10-percent discount on all in-store purchases (a few exceptions apply) with the clip-and-save coupon found on page 61 in the February issue of American Rifleman. There will also be NRA volunteers on hand to help you renew your membership or sign up your friends. Can’t make it to a store that weekend? Cabela’s still wants to say thanks. NRA members who shop online at Cabelas.com or call (800) 237-4444 will receive free shipping on any purchase of $50 or more during the event dates by using the code found in the Cabela’s ad. Cabela’s is also a strong supporter of the NRA Youth Hunter Education Challenge (YHEC), which teaches hunting and outdoor skills to 50,000 youths annually. Through Cabela’s NRA YHEC Endowment Add-A-Buck initiative, customers can add one dollar or more to purchases, with the proceeds going to YHEC. Cabela’s will match the funds raised for the endowment up to $35,000.
