Fans of the original Wyatt Earp television show of the 1950s and 60s flocked to meet the man behind the badge, Hugh O’Brian, as he introduced a limited-edition set of Colt single-action revolvers in .45—including Earp’s legendary trademark 12-inch Buntline Special. The other revolver is a duplicate of the 4 ¾-inch barrel he also carried. Famed gunleather maker John Bianchi of Frontier Gunleather was on hand to introduce a replica of the holster set used on the TV show, which will be serial numbered and custom fit for those who purchase the set.
The revolvers have a color-casehardened frame and hammer, with a polished blued finish. "Hugh O'Brian--Wyatt Earp Tribute" is etched into each of the gun's barrels and O'Brian's signature is engraved on the backstraps. Grips are made of walnut.
