Hunters aren't seen to the outside world as very emotional beings, but get us talking about our favorite firearm, and you'll see a different side surface. Our affinity toward a particular firearm leads to swapping stories around camp about extreme shots taken or how certain guns just always go bang when the trigger is pulled. It's what makes us spend hours mounting optics, testing loads, cleaning bores and learning the intricacies that make every firearm just a little different, and ours so special. It can also lead us to affectionately refer to our favorite gun with an appropriate pet name, depending on it's purpose—driving tacks in competition, dropping a once-in-a-lifetime buck or turning a turkey's head into jelly.
