Crimson Trace’s LG-417 for Glock pistols is a polymer slip-on lasergrip that is secured to the frame by inserting one of two small clamps between the top rear portions of the grip, then anchoring each side of the grip and the clamp together by an included screw. A 3/8-inch-wide housing holds the micro-compact 3.3 mm diode, which creates a 1/2-inch red dot at 50 feet. The pressure-activated switch just under the trigger guard allows for natural operation with one’s middle finger, and a master on/off button, located on the lower left side, deactivates the laser. Windage and elevation are adjusted with an included hex key through two adjustment ports on the top and side of the laser housing. Two No. 2032 batteries contained in each side provide about four hours of continuous light and five years of shelf life. The skeletonized design slightly widens the grip, yet still allows the pistol to fit in most common Glock law enforcement and military duty holsters. It fits Glock Models 17, 17L, 19, 22, 23, 31, 32, 34, 35, 37 and 38.
