Pro Ears' new Predator GOLD electronic ear muffs have a Noise Reduction Rating of 26 dB and an automatic noise limiter set at 70 dB.

Pro Ears' new Predator GOLD electronic ear muffs have a Noise Reduction Rating of 26 dB and an automatic noise limiter set at 70 dB. Softer sounds can be amplified by 50 dB. Each ear cup has separate circuit boards, microphones, speakers and adjustment knobs.

It uses a hybrid digital/analog system to take advantage of digital systems' better enhancement abilities and analog systems' better sound quality, and the gold connectors, amplifiers and microphones used help impede wind interference.

The muffs feature visco-elastic foams and Pro Form leather in the ear cushions and headband to provide a balance of noise isolation and resistance to headband compression.

Each ear cup also has external, standard input jacks for headphones, allowing users to connect with iPods or other sound systems, scanners, or two-way radios, all while still being able to hear external sounds at a comfortable level.

The units are made in the United States and come with a five-year limited warranty. Go to www.pro-ears.com.

LOL.......that's a twenty INCH barrelled 22/250. Also,i wore another well known brand of electronic muffs for 15 yrs before they finally died. I ordered these Pro Ears Gold Predator due to their marketing claims.

I purchased this exact model to protect what hearing i have left while predator calling with a 20' 22-250. Based upon the ads involving wind noise reduction claims,i was eager to hit the prairie. Extremely disappointed! The wind noise was so amplified i had to rip them off to pinpoint where the coyotes were yodel'n from. They work as advertised for report reduction and they keep your ears warm but wind noise amplification will drive ya nuts.
