The U.S. Army took home top accolades from the 2010 Interservice Pistol Competition, with Staff Sgt. Robert Park II winning the individual competition. Park's win was one of the closest in recent history, with only a point separating his top score of 3515-182x from second place winner and two-time defending champion Sgt. 1st Class James Henderson and two points between Parks and third place Staff Sgt. Patrick Franks. The top three finishers were all members of the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit (USAMU).
In addition to the championship, Park also won seven other individual titles. To recognize the achievements of each branch of service, the top shooter of each was rewarded with a pistol to commemorate his score, with Park winning for the Army.
