SureFire Releases First AA-battery Flashlight
E2L AA Outdoorsman marks important progression for battery and flashlight technology.

SureFire Inc., maker of flashlights and tactical lights, has made a significant step forward in flashlight technology by announcing its first AA-battery compatible flashlight, the E2L AA Outdoorsman.
The E2L AA Outdoorsman features an LED module, weather-resistant aluminum body, and the ability to run on either AA alkaline or AA lithium batteries. It has a peak emitting brightness of 80 lumens on high, which is 4 times the normal output of a standard 2 D-cell operated flashlight, and 3 lumens of brightness on low. Runtime is estimated at 9 hours on high brightness setting, 60 hours on low.
