NRA Member Overcomes Handicap, Fires Gun With Feet

Jim Templeman, born without arms, has enjoyed shooting his whole life. He just does it slightly differently than most.

NRAblog recently had a chance to interview NRA member Jim Templeman, who has learned to fire a handgun slightly differently than most.

Templeman, born without arms, uses his dexterous feet to load and fire handguns from a seated position. He's been an avid shooter his whole life, but his career recently got him back in touch with the sport he's loved for so long.

For the full write-up and interview, visit the NRAblog.

Thanks Richard as a retired corpsman and a medic (served in Army and Navy with Seabeas and Marines) who is a left handed pistol shooter I practiced over and over 1 handed operation with either left or right hand and recommend ALL who depend on a side arm to learn and practice one handed operation BEFORE you need it

Very intriguing. I am a one handed shooter. I would be willing to demostrate my method for shooting and handing a 1911 including loading the magazine. Any returning vets with missing upper extremities may be interested. I am a long time NRA member and will reply to email: mysticswine@gmail.com
