Beretta Issues Recall for .22-caliber NEOS Pistols

Pistol may be capable of firing even with safety on, or while switching safety from "off" to "on."

9/15/2010

Beretta USA has issued a recall for some .22-caliber NEOS pistols, citing safety concerns that the pistol may be capable of firing while the safety is "on," or even that the pistol may accidentally discharge while the safety is switched from "off" to "on." Beretta claims that the possibility of either is "extremely remote" and that the recall only affects some NEOS pistols.

To see if your pistol is affected by the recall, or to find instructions on how to return your Beretta NEOS pistol for repair, visit Beretta's NEOS support page or call 1-800-BERETTA.

Thanks for the update on the Neos problem. I use them in my NRA-certified firearms' classes that I teach.
