Winchester Releases Ranger Bonded .38 Spl. +P

New ammunition bonds lead to jacket to increase velocity and terminal ballistics according to FBI test protocol.

10/08/2010

Winchester Ammunition has introduced its newest high-performance law enforcement ammuntion called Ranger Bonded .38 Spl. +P. Designed for use use in snub-nosed revolvers carried by law enforcement officers throughout the U.S., the Ranger Bonded .38 Spl. +P increases stopping power and terminal ballistics by welding the lead bullet to the jacket, allowing them to work together as one unit, helping to control expansion and retain weight upon impact.

In addition to increasing power, bonding the ammunition also serves to increase penetration through a wide variety of barriers, and is the same bonding process already used in the .40-caliber and 9 mm duty ammunition of the FBI.

The Winchester Ranger Bonded .38 Spl. +P is only available to law enforcement divisions. For more information, visit Winchester Ammunition's website.
