10/17/2011 Standard on Stag Arms’ Model 3 AR-15 rifle, the Diamondhead Versa-Rail System (V-RS) is a round, two-piece rail platform and handguard that drops-in to any carbine-length AR-15 without firearm modification. It is made of anodized 6061-T6 aluminum with an integral M1913 Picatinny top rail. Combinations of short and long aluminum rails and bumpers are available and can be attached to the sides and bottom. Four hex screws along each side of the platform fix the bumpers to the handguards, which are held firmly in place along the barrel. The bumpers rise 1/4" from the handguards to form a smoother, slimmer, more positive gripping surface compared to A2-style handguards. Handguards: $109. Rails and bumpers: $8 to $22.
