1/4/2012 The eight finalists for the 2011 3-Gun Nation (3GN) Championship sponsored by Brownells—and now sanctioned by NRA Sports—will compete at a 7 p.m. shoot under the lights in front of a crowd in Las Vegas on Jan. 13 at the Clark County Range. The winner will go home $50,000 richer. NRA Directors Joseph P. DeBergalis Jr. and Pete Brownell were instrumental in bringing NRA Sports to this event in conjunction with 3GN and NBC Sports. Both Brownell and DeBergalis also serve on the NRA Sport Shooting Committee. This is the grand finale for the 2011 FNH USA 3-Gun Nation Tour. The competitors will compete in a man-on-man shoot-off—an all-out race to the stop plate using Stag Arms and FNH USA rifles, the FN SLP shotgun and an FNS semi-automatic pistol. The first competitor to successfully knock down all the steel targets in sequence, including the stop plate, wins. For more information, go to 3gunnation.com.
