Just how quiet were the CCI quiets in this gun? Were they significantly louder than they are in a full length rifle? They are nearly silent out of my 39a, but very loud out of my MKII (standard). The reason I ask is that I'm looking for a gun that I can silently take squirrels with while out hunting Deer or birds. I don't want to scare my primary game off, but I also love Squirrel hunting. I hate to see those tasty little critters going to waste.

Been thinking about that laser sight myself. Anyone know of one that goes in the end of a 94 magazine tube ? So it doesn't spoil the looks much ?

I purchased the Henry dog-leg pistol when it was first released. I really enjoy plinking with it at the range. It is a fun shoot, and has opened the door to some interesting conversations.

I shoot my Rossi .45 with 'cowboy' loads using the cheek weld, but won't try it with the heavy loads. However, it shoots both to the same point of aim, its as accurate as any iron sighted carbine to 100 yds and no problem ringing the 200 M gong. I did have to dremel the rear sight a lot to get it shooting point of aim. Thats after removing the rear sight ramp entirely. I plan to hunt with it and would use it for bear or home defense. But mainly its fun. Whats wrong with fun ?

Steve McQueen could aim it well.

I don't think it's about gun companies creating an answer in search of a problem. Like the author noted, have you never wanted a firearm simply for the fun factor. I have plenty of precision fireams for serious business. But believe it or not, it's ok to have one or several just for fun.

Missing the point here. It's a 'just for fun' gun. We sell this whole rig (as in the picture) at Cabela's. Seems to be popular with weekend plinkers. Thinking of one myself.

A pistol can not have a full stock Gary.

Yesterday I was at the range shooting and someone I met last time I was there came and he bad a Henry mare in. 22. I had my Rossi Ranch Hand. It is in. 45 long colt. The guns do get looks and they are fun to shoot. But they are hard to aim. I've figured out how to aim mine and I'm getting bullseye with it now when I benchrest shoot it. To hit the bullets I have to aim 6 o'clock just off the target. But I'm having fun with it. Great gun.gunna

"The most accurate hits were produced by holding the pistol up to form a cheek weld with the stumpy grip and looking down the barrel to line up the rifle sights." Too bad your "rifle" doesn't have a stock that reaches all the way to your shoulder. Then you would have something useful. Just another example of gun manufacturers with too much time on their hands creating an answer in search of a problem.
