6/15/2012 Its uses are myriad: reference for pricing a used firearm to sell; established baseline for purchasing an arm; a veritable timetable of firearm evolution; even a tool for historical analysis. Truly, few resources are as useful as the “Blue Book of Gun Values,” and the publication’s “Thirty-Third Edition” could be the best yet. Featuring 2,432 pages, the guide provides details and prices, the latter ranging widely based on condition, for most firearms from companies spanning the alphabet. That’s only the beginning, though, as “Thirty-Third Edition” also has a trademark index, glossary of firearm terminology, listing of firearm and shooting organizations and serialization section. The “Store Brand Cross-Over List” is especially noteworthy, as it links house-brand names—such as Sears and Western Auto—and model designations with the manufacturers and original model numbers. Gracing the cover is NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre, and inside there is an exclusive in-depth interview with LaPierre, with pointed commentary from the NRA-ILA Executive Director Chris Cox and others about the key Second Amendment preservationist. Price: $50. Contact: Blue Book Publications, Inc.; (800) 877-4867; www.bluebookofgunvalues.com.
