@ Dan, Leupold just released a 1.5-5x30 scope with an illuminated Reticule and BDC specific to the .300 black out cartridge. i just got mine and i really like the reticule especially if you like to shoot subsonic suppressed.. TX just passed a law legalizing hunting with suppressors :-) gotta love TEXAS!!

Nice article. I have two CMMG SBR's one in 5.56 and one in 9mm. Both have been great shooters. I've just purchased another 8.5' barrel in 300 AAC. Can't wait to see its performance. Thanks for your info.

I recently purchased the CMMG 300 AAC and have been trying to decide what scope to put on it. I have a 223 AR with the M223 scope and mount and would lie something similar that matches the ballistics of a 147 grain 300 AAC. Do you have any suggestions?

I have a CMMG 223/5.56 with 16" bull barrel 1in 9 twist. Shooting Hornady 55gr. it consistantly shoots dime sized groups at 100 yards, with a 4X16 power scope. Never had any malfunctions whatsoever. Great gun.
