I have fired the SR22 many times without a jam. It worked great on almost any 22 caliper ammo. The only thing that I did not like is the safety . I think that it should work like the LC9.by pushing the switch down instead of up.

I purchased the Ruger SR22 for my wife to practice with and she just loves it. So far we have put 500-600 rounds of bulk federal ammo through it with not problems whatsoever. The reliability of this gun is outstanding and the YouTube videos I have seen offer nothing but praise for the design and functionality of this gun. Ruger has a real winner with the SR22!!

After a few thousand rounds of ammo, I have had zero malfunctions on the SR22--It simply runs anything well that I have tried--Every Beretta Neos & Walther 22 that show up at the range malfunction regularly, with their owners making constant excuses for them, while the Ruger works every shot--While maybe not a good idea, I pick up the unfired rounds they leave laying on the ground and use them-they all go bang--So much for blaming the ammo--The control layout on this gun is also perfect for me & is very quick to get into action--Carry live chamber, put on decocker--When you draw your thumb flips up decocker & pull the trigger--Very quick & easy--Every control in the right spot--Another solid winner from Ruger

I bought an SR22 two weeks ago, and after 500 rounds of Winchester M22 rounds it happily shoots Federal Bulk Ammo. The YouTube comments on the gun failing horribly when researched further come down to two things. One, people reassemble the recoil spring backward which removes two to three coils on the spring out of function, and then forces the take down latch to serve as a recoil stop eventually fatiguing the nib on the latch. Two, there was a batch or take down latches where during injection molding, the polymer was baked at too high a temp leading to a loss in tensile strength on the latch making the nib easier to break. Combine these, and you have the problem seen. These issues have been taken car of according to the Ruger rep I talked to. So bottom line, follow the instructions after talking your gun apart and putting it together again, break it in with good ammo, and you will have an extremely fun, reliable weapon.

On the cover you show the SR-22 with what looks like a light laser combo. I have not found anything that looks like that on the web. What brand or part number is it?

The SR22 is failing horribly. Go to youtube and see the videos of them breaking during the first session of shooting. Ruger needs to recall and fix before I buy.

Would like to see the LCR offered in 22 Mag.

in the latest edition of your magazine you show the SR-22 on the cover. I have one and love it. You show it on one page where it is disassembled and you show the recoil spring guide with spring laying next to the barrel. Are you aware that you have it pointing in the wrong direction? The small end of the guide faces the front, not the rear. It won't resassemble in the direction you show it.
