Great write up! I just got this pistol and took it to the range today... I think it really does have less felt recoil then any other pistol i have shot because of the grip design. Here is a video of me shooting it if you want to check it out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o3Zh8r5DMQE

It's apparent to me that it's not the author who didn't do his homework or is confused. The rear sights of the Caracal F are in fact machined into the slide in front of the ejection port. Perhaps Mr Bellinger should familiarize himself with the subject before comenting on it.

BTW, I'm incredibly pleased with my own model C/QS, and more holsters are becoming available everyday.

p I believe aragraph 3 is incorrect. The 9 C has the sight machined in front of the ejection port, the 9 F has the rear sight machined into the breach block at the rear of the slide. I suspect the author did not do his own homework or has this confused with the 9 C with the quick sight system.
The 9 F is some what hamstrung by the narrow and non replaceable rear sight.

I have to be honest: with so many options out there in firearms, I try to buy American made products (although it doesn't always happen). Still, Germany, Austria, Brazil is one thing; somehow buying a pistol made in the United Arab Emirates (nestled between Saudi Arabia & Oman) really rubs me the wrong way. I will just never do it, because I don't know who *my* money might be supporting...

Regarding reliability, although the article neglected to mention it, the non-USA Caracal web site mentions completion of standard reliability testing, see page 4 at this link: http://www.caracal.ae/new/brochure.pdf or more briefly at http://www.caracal.ae/caracal/pages.asp?certificates

Blade-tech Ind offers a holster for the Caracal F model. A precision fit and works great.

Seems to me a company inviting comparison with Glock should offer up more than a light trigger and striker peep. Glocks are famous, or infamous? for their reliability under a variety of conditions. If Caracal wants to sell a product that looks like a Glock, works like a Glock, and Shoots like a Glock, they need to make sure it is as reliable as a Glock. Just my 2 cents.
Btw, i hate glocks. ugly guns, imo. I'll stick to my '92. But you gotta admit, they do the job they were designed to do. And that's the only thing that matters for a defensive handgun.
