Chiappa 1887 T-Model Lever-Action Shotgun (Page 2)

An iconic movie gun is brought to life in this new take on a classic lever-action shotgun.

Instead of worrying about how to use the new Chiappa 1887 T-Model lever-action 12-gauge as a tactical or defensive tool, it should be considered for what it is. It’s an interesting, movie-inspired, fun-at-the-range gun that you and your friends can enjoy shooting at Zombie matches or for blowing up watermelons. But just in case there ever is a Zombie Apocalypse or a Cyborg invasion, you will look very cool with a T-Model in hand as you save the world.

This is a very special shotgun, Jeff E, and that it costs $995- is not so bad. Yes it is a bit more expensive than others but it does not go over normal pricing for guns which is anywhere from $400-1000 (imo). The action is very special and some of use may spend more on it than other actions--especially the cheap stuff. Yes you can get a $180 H&R single shot but you can also get an interesting lever-action shotgun which loads in a most crazy fashion for more, which might I add is a repeater. I'd like both! :D

Can anyone tell me where I can get the holster for the 1887? It's a hell of a lot harder to find than the gun itself.

As long as they're making a "movie" shotgun, this should have a loop-type lever on it. And do believe the advice to operate the action in a "firm" manner, or you will experience problems.

$995.00?? I love the look of this shotgun but not at this price. You can get a great shotgun for a fraction of this cost from other top of the line manufacturers. Sorry but this shotgun is simply not worth the cost.

Technically, "28 Days Later" is an outbreak movie, not a zombie movie. The crazies aren't undead, just crazy.

So if it comes with a pistol grip then it could be manufactured as an AOW with a barrel less than 18" and only a $5 transfer fee!!!!

Cool shotgun. But cool or not, I'll never buy anything from Chiappa until they clearly state they are not inserting RFID chips in guns for the US market. From all my searching, they have not done so. I'm paranoid, so be it. Just like it's paranoia that our gov't would ever chip and give guns to Mexican drug gangs in a scheme to cook up support for a domestic gun ban. That's just crazy talk, right?

Howdy folks, there's a bit of information that didn't make it into the article. The cover photo (top) shows the T-Model shotgun with a Voodoo Tactical Breacher's Shotgun Scabbard. You can order them in black or OD green at www.voodootactical.net
