Want to get one of these,to go with my 9mm autos,ammo interchangibility is great.Also for those interested I called Charter Arms and asked them when the .45acp version would be released,they advised this year 2013,due to the firearms market,at this time it would be hard to release a new gun,due to having to keep up with demand of existing guns being produced.

Took federal out today, no misfires or jams. Stay away from steel rounds.

I just got my 9mm pitbull from Hinterland and went to the range. I only took Heters ammo with me. I was unable to use the extractor as the casings were firmly stuck in the cylinder. I also found that the 6th round would not fire. The spent rounds had to be punched out with a tool. I hope to get out to the range and try brass soon,.

@Keith:
Some people prefer the reliability of a revolver vs. an autoloader. Additionally, a revolver chambered in the same caliber as their duty sidearm appeals to many law enforcement officers as a backup weapon.

With the exception of some 45acp variants in WWII, I never really understood the need for a revolver to shoot rimless ammo.

Newman,
I note that nobody has answered your question in 7 days. Perhaps you are trying to show off your knowledge of 9mm variants, or perhaps you are asking an honest question so I'll throw it out there...
The article cites, "the three most popular semi-auto defensive calibers in the U.S..." I think the writer thought that filled it in for most of us, but just to be clear, the most popular handgun ammo in the world the 9mm Luger (9x19 parabellum).
I'm pretty confidant that if the writer meant the 9x17 Browning, he would have just said, ".380 ACP" (likewise if it were the Makarov or any of the 20 or so varieties that have been referred to as 9mm at some point in history).
Additionally, a walk down the ammo isle at any retailer should confirm that the Luger is by far the most popular 9mm.

It would be helpful to specify which 9mm this is. 9mm Parabellem, 9x18 or .380 ACP.

Yes, Folk, it continues to be quite a long wait to see/handle this new revolver. A couple of weeks ago I chatted with the CA Customer Service Manager. She said the revolvers are being shipped and suggested to order from a local gun shop -- of course, depends if the shop has a CA distributor to obtain the revolver through.
No results so far on my search either (five gun shops have nothing yet). I did have a "stock watch" submitted at Gallery of Guns in Phoenix. They emailed me that the revolver was in, but I didn't see the email for 8 hours. Result was that all the revolvers were already sold! Back to square one here, too.
The wait goes on...

I'd love to have one of these but it seems that they're in the same catagory as unicorns. I've had one on order since October and still haven't heard anything.
