I own several .45s the Para single stack, Colt Commander and S&W M&P but this is know my ‘new’ favorite pistol. Shoots very well right out of the box and it gets better with every magazine change. Great pistol for the price.

I purchased the R1 carry a couple of months ago. This was my first 1911 and I love it. No problems at the range it shoots like a dream, no problems.

Though I own and shoot a Kimber, I prefer to think the Americans who make those Remington 1911's are proud of the history, and will stand up for the 2nd Amendment Rights of all Americans by providing the best of products!

Comments... I bought the standard R1 about 2 months ago and it was my first .45 This is a great gun and is smooth as silk. I really expected harsh recoil but that's not the case with this fine handgun.I'm sure there are more expensive 1911s out there, but probably none better.
